um you guys forget I have a CDL with hazmat and lots of exp with this stuff.  Trust me, trying to transport this stuff, would be extremly expensive.  It still legally can be moved by train, but I have no idea where one would take it to be dumped.

calling in a hazmate team will be 50k min.  I'd not be shocked if it was 100k+  They are also very near to a middle school, which adds another head ache.  They would evacuate the school and the block.  The reality is they both really need assited living right now, if one goes, there is no way the other could take care of themself.

I've already did the research on this, you are screwed no matter what.  It was banned from consumer sales in 1970 and production in the US in 1973.  in 1992 the UN banned its production and use.  The 1987 montreal protocal stoped its production in all but 3rd world countrys.

Whats funny is this stuff use to be in every thing, its one of the best degreaser known.  40ish years ago you could buy it at the drug store.  It was used by professionals and hobbyests a like.  there are still a few places in the US that can legally produce very small quantiys  for research only.

Tough break. That does leave option C, but I wiill leave that up to you and I won't judge either way. :-\

Are you talking about T-111 ?
I remember using that stuff in the Parts cleaner at a shop I worked at years ago.
Worked awesome, and we used to dump it off the loading dock for "disposal".
Mix it with Sulfuric acid and you get Phosgene gas, Better known as WWI's "Mustard gas".

If that's true TAB could always put it on the Arabic version of E-Bay. He either gets a nice payout, or a free tripto the Carribean on the tax payers dime. Win-win. ;D

the only t-111 I know of is siding.   I have little doubt you have come into contact with this chemical tom, either in some dulted form or in manufactoring.  The prob is this stuff is pure.  its not mixed in with something, its a raw chemical.

I'm not worried about it,  Trust me there is alot of stuff in that garage that scares the hell out of me...  If it scares me, it would make most people wet thier pants.

I've talked with a bunch of chemists about this, and what can be done about it.

Oddly enough, not one of them has given me a legal solution.  every thing from pore it down the drain to dig a hole.  One guy even said heat it up to about 275F so it will burn.  The one I like the most was to get a large orgainc fliter( aka actvated charcoal) and off gas it thru that.  Then dig a hole.
