I was in Germany in the late 80s and bought many CZ pistols (2x75s, 1x85, 1x83, 4x50s) all great preformers.  On the Cold War Commemorative fine to have the Soviet markings on one side but the other should have had either the US or NATO markings in my opinon.

Here's a few of the Cold War period of mine.

I don't Know, kind of disturbing, that imagery brings back memories, the red star too. I love the pistols. Here is a pic of my 75, no import marks, epoxie finish, lanyard ring pistol, It is very slick in action. They should have included the lanyard ring.

I wish I could find one like yours with the round trigger guard. I can't stand the squared off guards on the new imports, I think it kills their lines.

Just an FYI, we have the Cold War at $499.  Two more came in today.

I love CZ 75s, but... I don't quite understand why they put Russian markings on a Czech pistol. I mean, during the Cold War, Czechoslovakia was just as commie as the Soviet Union, so why make it "Russian?" The engraving on the slide in Cyrillic is obviously Russian--Czech is written in Roman letters. It's a shame they didn't make a cosmetic replica of the vintage Czech pistol similar to what Combat Diver has. (Nice collection man!) I think CZ missed an opportunity here.
