I'm not going to wade through this. Hell, I get paid $100 an hour to do it and I won't do it for free as I still get headaches. ::)  What I will say is this, it ain't the law until its the law. I don't care what the authors meant. You either finished the job, or you didn't. If they didn't pass the bill on the third reading? Then all subsequent rules are BS. Still, Its 24 years of established law. You better be damned sure of your facts before you challenge it.
FQ13 who is feeling lazy, but its Sunday. Still, bad law is no precedent, if it wasn't done right, it wasn't done.

I didn't go through any of the links since I'm not a lawyer and doubt I would understand half of what was written.
I did read the post and noted one thing.

"So... stay tuned... we may have Charlie Rangel on video falsifying the congressional record, and thereby eliminating the creation of transferable machine guns."

Funny how that name keeps coming up in regards to crooked or shifty dealing.

bumpity...shameless bump.

you all really need to read that link.  it really isn't that hard to understand.  it is not full of legalese.  if you have ever been to a meeting where motions were accepted, then seconded and then voted on then it is not all that difficult to understand.
