I have to agree Marshall. This one pissed me off. Who is he to tell anyone that it is not reasonable to custom color a firearm.As for Pink the largest growing segment of firearm ownership for a CCW is women and guess what they like that color. If that is what it takes for manufacturers and custom shops to get the legal sale of a firearm so be it.  As far as getting in the wrong hands I would have suspected him to mention children not criminals.  If a thug criminal was in posession of a pink gun he would be laughed off of the street IMHOP. At least he mentiond that criminals would get guns no matter what the laws where.That does not justify taking away firearms from law abiding citizens or prohibiting what color they are. What an A$$

This is just the preamble of things to come.  Everyone thinks that throwing money at something (Glenn Beck mentioned methods of entry for SWAT in new schools, Nebraska is trying to outlaw guns that are "inherently dangerous", California is always trying to pass some tighter reg on guns.  We are in the bowl of soup warming on the stove, while the "libs and dims" waddle around the edges adding a regulation here, taking away a right there, and we just squirm.  Look out folks, it won't be long (after the election) when the gloves will come off and then gun owners be ware.  My two cents.  Good thing all my weapons have been "lost or stolen" so I won't have anything to register.

I think it was PT Barnum (of the circus fame) who once said - Never underestimate the bad taste of the American public - or words tot hat effect. I have long told my kids that there are a lot of stupid people in this world, but that does not mean they will not get in your way. You have to find a way to accomplish what you want how you want no matter how much they eff with you.

Brings up a good question - MB, any response from the McCain camp?

I am seriously afraid with obambi running away with the dem side (10 straight primaryies, although the delegate count is still close) that McCain is thinking he does not need to make any deals with us, or anyone. I would certainly hope someone with as little experience as obambi could never be actually elected President. I've seen reports that Republicans are supporting him as the un-Hillary just to kill her candidacy, although based on the debate in Texas yesterday she seems to be doing that to her self.

I would hope McCain would pick someone like Thompson as a running mate as from the looks of him I think Mc stands a good chance of croaking in his first term. That man just does not look healthy.
