Yea, I'm pissed....and I have one of those with their hands out in my immediate family.  She was livid when MA turned her down for a few hundred dollars worth of help after she got a job.  She threatened to quit to get the money.  I almost strangled her!

My nieces mother was your basic crack whore. She was on welfare the whole time I knew her.
The state certified her too crazy to hold a job.
She had nicer furniture and electronics than I ever had in my lifetime of working.

I haven't checked out the Facebook situation, nor do I care to.  I don't know if she is a productive member of society or a leach on the system, but I will say this:  if it comes down to a choice between internet access (which she must have since she's a FBer) and heat, I'll take the heat.  If your budget has no wiggle room, then you choose needs over wants.  Your FarmVille may suffer, but you'll be warm and you may assist in reviving the long lost art of letter writing.

many phones have net access now.  It could very well be she needs net/phone for work.  It also maybe something like she logs on from work or some PC any one can access.  I know thats streching the could be's alot.  now the TV and x box is what pisses me off.

Good point Swoop and exactly the point I've made to my Sis in law.  

Get rid of the internet, your home phone (she has a cell too), turn off the lights, lower the heat, get rid of cable, drop the collision on your auto policy (cars paid for), hang your laundry, and stop buying food from a wholesale supermarket!

She's done nothing!  Just keeps bitching that she's broke and no one is helping.

I won't let the woman starve but short of that she needs a good kick in the ass.
