Why I Prefer The DRTV Forum.

Because most of the other forums, involve folks like this. langloisandy posted" an IDPA "rule" explanation with these animated characters.

Here's a funny "Every Answer On Gun Forum" exchange.....There is some profanity and language involved, but it's minor.

and still hilarious.

Part II

At least here, you get the "reality" of a 1000yd, CQB, short barreled, piston rifle, and pistols are only good when they begin with a "4"... ;D

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

Sweet Lord TW
Not only do you owe me a new key board, but I'm holding you responsible for the death of a perfectly good beer. ;D That was about the funniest thing I've heard in quite awhile. Sad thing is, there is a whole lot of truth there. Just because you own it doesn't mean you know how to use it. Given a $1k budget, the smart guy will buy a $500 gun and spend the rest at the range practising. The mall ninja will spend $1500 (maxing out the visa) on a whiz bang gun he'll never shoot and then think he's prepared. ::)

"Why would I adjust them after they are zeroed? That is stupid."
You can say lots of bad things about pedophiles; but at least they drive slowly past schools.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

hehe  that was good

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them
