TAB, why do you care about them?

Simple, They are not very loud= you can kill pests and no one complains.  I've heard air guns that are louder then cb caps.

there are also the super heavy sub sonics that are very nice for suppresed guns.  Never seen one of those cycle.  I know several guys in NV and AZ that use a surpressed 22 with the heavy subsonics for best control.   All you really here is the action clicking and the impact of the bullet.

These are called BB Caps or Floberts....RWS still manufactures and sells these...They are not as accurate in my guns as CB's are and they substantially louder. 
I have one .22 rifle that will shoot the CB Longs as well as Long Rifles out to the 50 yard line...and as TAB states, they are quieter than most Air Rifles on the market.

No auto will. Not enough oomph to push the bolt back. They barely have enough to get the bullet out the barrel.

There was a Stevens automatic rifle that use to fire and function with Shorts....I doubt it would have run with CB's though.  Thats where a good Marlin model 39 comes in handy. The rifle length will hold either 22 or 24 Short's.

I'd like a Pair of Charter Arms CARR's. One in .45 ACP, one in 10MM. (If they ever get them in production.) Also, I'd like to see an M1 Carbine in .50 AE. Saw an article in Guns Magazine or Guns & Ammo years ago of a custom gunsmith who was making a prototype of one.

Almost. I have a 45-70 in a buffalo classic. I just feel the need for a .458 lott incase a circus elephant escapes.
