Well DARN! No Shooting Gallery/Best Defence for me this season.

I used to have Directv and they allowed me to purchase Outdoor Channel "al la carte" for 3.99 a month. Otherwise they bundled it into their "sports" lineup. Even though OC isn't a sports channel in the same regard.
Anyway, I now have ATT U-VERSE which was a lot cheaper and I got a great package deal. Right now every penny counts and am lucky i can still afford any paid tv.
Anyway, ATT will NOT allow me to buy channels al la carte. I went round and round with a rep there and she just kept saying "sorry, we do not allow that sort of thing". Well I am not going to pay 10.99 a month for a bunch of channels i will never watch to get one that should not be bundled anyway.
Sorry Michael, I'm stuck watching Versus for now and waiting for your clips online.

If the Overlords at O.C. would step up and insist their channel be available to us po-folk then their viewership would probably rise.

That sucks, W. But, try this - demand to speak to someone at ATT who can do this. I had to do that with DirectTV even though their advertising says you can get any channel ala carte. The wanker I ended up with refused to even acknowledge my question about why the front line phone answerer couldn't do what this guy said he would. I got the channel, but it soured me on DirectTV - after I was already pissed at Dish Network.

Sorry to hear that!  I have Dish, and at the time we got it I up two levels to get Outdoor Channel.  At that time the shooting shows were all on Outdoor Living Network (now Vs.), but the good hunting shows were on OC.  OC was advertising that providers would let you ala carte for $0.99, but Dish wouldn't do it.  I weighed the total packages, and they won.  Eventually things moved to OC after the change to Vs. and their anti-guns stance for a couple years.  Recently Vs. has added some shooting, but not the quality of OC.

I can understand the "pennies" thing.  With recent changes I have been thinking of cutting back as well, but so far the entertainment of several other channels in the package have kept us from dropping.  The better and smarter half tells me that as we have cut back on other things this is our entertainment dollar and a value.
