If you are a Republican, you wear white sheets and attend midnight meetings. That is if you believe Robert Brown.

Brown is now, after the decimation of Democrats in Georgia, the highest ranking Democrat in the whole state. He serves as leader of the Democrats in the State Senate.

On a local television program in Middle Georgia, Senator Brown was asked about a series of party switchers from Democrats to Republicans. Brown responded, “I mean, what does the wife do then, put on some red sheets on the bed and say ‘You know we can get rid of the blue sheets, but keep the white one over there because we might need that one for the midnight meeting.’”

Robert Brown has a history of racially incendiary remarks, having in the past accused Republicans of “Willie Horton” politics and other supposed racist actions.

It could be that Robert Brown is unfamiliar with what typically goes on between sheets, in which case we might forgive him. But whether he’s race baiting or just that dumb, it’s hard to mount a convincing case that he should actually be the highest ranked state level Democrat in Georgia.

The KKK was not only started by slave dealing Democrat former Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest, it was started as an ANTI-REPUBLICAN, not anti Black, organization.
They would not admit Republicans as members.

I must be in a bubble, I live in Texas and have yet to meet some one now, once, or looking to be affiliated with the Klan.  Where are all these Klansman I keep hearing about.  From what these folks say, you'd think I could look around and start a 'rally' on the spot.  Hell, if I took these guys at their word, I'm probably a Klansman and don't realize it yet.

Too bad Robert "White Sheets" Byrd, isn't with us to remember those Grand Wizard Days,....when Southern Democrats were the biggest opposition to the Civil Rights Bill.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Lets tell the truth. Those Southern Democrats are now Republicans. Comparing the Democratic party of the late 19th century to post 1964 Democrats is a farce. Anyone who has read a history book knows it. Conservative Southerners switched parties, plain and simple. That said, the elder generation of Black Democrats play the race card in a way that would make Strom Thurmond blush. Both need to be called on their BS.

Uh, it's too early to get bombed and post FQ. They're dead, It took Eisenhower to get the ball rolling, with th NG's help. Nobody mentioned 19th Century Democrats, anymore than post 1964 Democrats.

Review Al Gore, SR. He never switched parties, good ol' boy Southern Dem. from TN. and died that way. Just like Byrd. Jessie Helms and Strom Thurmond were not bigots, they hated gays, scumbag white folks leeching off society, jews, blacks, Puerto Ricans, WOP's, Kike's, you name it.

Be difference... ;)

Uh... hate to take sides but someone did mention 19th century Dems when they pointed out when and who founded the KKK. May not have been the point intended but they were mentioned. Far as I'm concerned both sides are pocket lining sh**birds who could use a dose of tar and feathers plus a good ride on out of town on a rail.

Oh, that was almost exactly the point I intended USMCDad. The Dems have been race baiting, anti defense, Criminals since the days of Jefferson, and Tammany Hall.
Their current infatuation with "Affirmative Action" is simply their latest flirtation with "Jim Crow" laws.
Stripped of the legal jargon it says "since the darkie's are to dumb and lazy to compete with people we should not expect the same levels of competence from them."
I would assume that folks like Colin Powell, Bill Cosby, and even Jesse Jackson fail to share that political philosophy.
