Bet it would. Not to get all Randian here, but JMB was definately a "form follows function" kind of guy. The Squareback? The M2? The BAR? Even (for the time) the 1911 or Hi-power? None of them won any beauty contests. They just worked. People thought they were pretty only after they were impressed by the performance. I honestly belive that JMB and Gaston Glock would have gotten along like a house on fire, and designed a pretty cool gun on a cocktail napkin over a beer or 8. ;D

Now let's go down the yellow brick road, an M2, Bar, 1911 ( which has already been done, double stack )  or high power in polymer, I have held a Bar, damn, very heavy and  not balanced, off a bipod ok, but off the shoulder, sorrry, your a better man than I am Gunga din. M2's even in polymer, your not going to pull a predator, Jesse Ventura hip shot, no sir, drop it from 250lbs to 150, still going to take a very strong man. JMB did develope a FA lever action with string, pretty cool, look it up.

M 25, You are way off on the weight of the M-2

58 kg (127.87 lb) with tripod and T&E


Even the water cooled  .30 was not that heavy

Maxim designs , with their "toggle" action were a bit heavier but still under 150 pounds.

I was tempted to put in a bid figuring I'd be out bid quickly and then be able to say I bid on a 82K pistol.....but chickened out...

How much do I like the 1911?  It's the gun I bet my life on every day.

How much do I like THAT 1911?  Not that much.

Apparently Larry Potterfield likes the 1911, too, based upon his concealed carry test Wednesday night.
