Puma m92 question

Bought our M92 last spring, shot a box of .357's and a box of .38's and it worked great.  On the factory notch it was right on at 25 yds with .357's, one notch up was right on with .38's.  Last fall I took it out again and it was 4-5" high with .357's on the factory notch!  If I took the step adjuster (Sorry I don't know what you call it) out and let the leaf sit on the barrel, it was right on again.
Any ideas about what happened? I can't figure it out.

I would ask the question, "was it the same ammo". Because a different Bullet-weight and/or speed of that bullet will have an impact variations and in some cases it is a combination of small changes which is causing your problem.

Very rarely is it improper storage. So do not let your buddies or the "gunshop guy" either talk you out of your rifle or talk you into a new one.

I agree with Texcaliber, try different ammo. check the lot number. I've ran across bad batches before.
