Hey, at least I got to have girlfriends sleep over in the dorms, got to drink beer, and seriously, got a better education than a lot of the strictly private military academies. The bottom line is that a reserve commission is a reserve commision and a lot of great schools (including all the land grant colleges) have ROTC programs. I get places like the Citadel and VMI for career types as they have their own "old boys" networks in the armed services. But if you just want to serve and get a scholarship at a good school, I'd sure reccomend Va. Tech over VMI, or Georgetown over the Citadel (though Charleston is nice). West Point or Annapolis are obviously in a whole different league.
