I had/have extended mags for my Ruger and Taurus pistols. I never use them because they're such a pain in the ass to load. They're there for emergency use. ;)

Exactly CJ. Plus they were only $20 a piece. (For now),....Sure they're big, long, and 45ACP to boot, (heavy)....BUT they are legal, bought by someone, (me), who will unleash hell on produce, bowling pins, water jugs, and in the event of an "emergency",.....

just have an extra 20 rounds, without reloading.

Gotta say, I never thought a Glock could get uglier, but that picture proved me wrong. ;) Still, before you go on the inevitable shooting rampage these things will cause, let us know how they balance/feed, because at that price I'm tempted to risk the letting one of the evil things into my home.

Really? I have no idea...perhaps I'm ignorant also.....I only drank from the Kool-Aid "Glock-Well"  once,....so maybe someone can chime in...

The texture is unnecessary, but I'll be damned before some asshat in Congress says a law abiding citizen CAN'T have one.

You are right about  the XD being uglier.  Recently bought 2 Glock 22 rd  40 cal mags and had feeding problems, double feed and smokestakes. Had to take a plastic mallet to the feed lip area to convince them to work properly. It worked.
