Isn't firing across a border at the citizens of another country an act of war? If the Mexican government does not stop this action are they not condoning the action and thus declaring war? I suggest a small armed ground force, with air support at the ready. If a work crew is fired on, the ground force responds with equal force. If the ground force is unable to solve the issue across the border we call in the Apaches!
Yes, and certain presidents would have told that to their face. And backed it up. But they know. In fact, they are counting on TX and AZ striking back and .gov slapping them down. Because they know .gov are buried in ROE red tape.
I was watching comedian Ron White last night, and he had an interesting take on border security. He suggested that the Army and Marines, with air support from the USAF, and naval bombardments from the USN, just start moving south and take over Mexico. But don't stop there. Keep moving down into Central America until we reach the Panama Canal, since we built it in the first place. Then put up a big south-facing sign on the north side of the canal that reads, "Swim this, bitch!!"Might merit some consideration.
So if you are a road worker in a border state, you need: Hat, Gloves, Shovel, High Powered, High Capacity, Long Range, Scoped Assault Rifle, Lunch Box, Water Jug. Have a happy day at work!
