I don't understand how this can be happening? Doesn't Mexico have strict gun control laws in place?  Bill T.

It is our fault!

It appears that the Mexican police have been busy with other things.

Actually it is. Him and evey other pro-drug war, soft on the border President. Pretty much all of them since Ike. Here's a modest proposal. End prohibition and use the savings on the Border Patrol and ICE. Direct half of new drug tax revenues to border security. Use the empty jail cells to house those who hire illegals. Just a thought.

here is what amazes me about the war on drugs...

how can you win the war on drugs if you have a boarder that is unsecure?

Wouldn't you 1st logical step be to prevent drugs from entering the country by controling the boarders?

I mean thats what you do when your trying to prevent pests from entering your home.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

All that needs to be done is give the Border Patrol shoot to kill orders for ANY fence jumper. After the first 5 are shot dead the word will spread, quickly! Yes, it will create an uproar. Too bad. Let it be known if ANY illegals riot here, or destroy any property, they will they will be regarded as enemies of the state, and will be jailed indefinitely. This nonsense would stop overnight. And it would also send a message to the rest of the world, including China, that we as a nation are through fu*#ing around! The choice is ours, which do we want more? Pacified illegals and progressive liberals, or a secure border? I'll take the latter.  Bill T.

Bill and Peg are only partly right, Cut off the benefits and jail their employers.
That would eliminate the incentive to come North in the first place.

Well, yeah...I was just getting at the point that they view jail as an 'alternate benefit' if the first line don't work out for them. Jail is still better than Mexico for most of them.

You are 100% correct that if you jail the employers you in effect kill the weed at the 'root'.

When I was on our County Fair Board we had some issues with a specific group every fair.  One evening I walked into the office right after a heated exchange.  After the chairman and secretary explained what had happened I said I could stay in the office, and the next time they came in to whatever I would shoot the first one as an example to the rest.  I was interviewed by a few of the local newspapers once as a board member, and a couple other members were also interviewed about my tenure.  Nothing like seeing that quote in the paper when it was printed.

It is that type of remark/statement that will get attention in a hurry.  By the way, even though it was another member relaying my thoughts, and the group was not named, that winter and the following fair we had no issues in the horse barn for the first time in years  ;D  The real fun was that during the Demo Derby my responsibility was security, and I covered a 200' section of fence that started at the gate and ended at the corner of the horse barn.
