NRA Show 2011 - Pittsburgh
« on: January 20, 2011, 08:15:06 PM »
So, even though there is still about 3 months till this shin-dig starts, I wanted to throw out feelers as to who has planned to attend the Pittsburgh event. I would love to have the chance to meet other DRTVers and get a chance to put name to face, so to speak. So for those of you planning to attend feel free to post and maybe we can all coordinate an evening to grab a few adult beverages and maybe we can tie down the Outdoor crew for a chance to thank them in person for all the efforts they have made to not only inform us but impart their wisdom and experience as well.

I missed meeting Marshall in Charlotte, what I gathered from MB, is they really "work" at the shows. MB was kind enough to spend a few minutes with me and my son, but he was really working the Outdoor Channel exhibit, podcasts, interviews, photo ops, being a rock star... ::)  There are so many folks and VIP's at these shows.

It's a busy time, with a lot going on. However, even Uncle Ted spent a few moments with fans, just strolling the floor, talking to folks. It's really a gun lovers playground, and cannot be seen in just one trip.

I hope to get to the Houston Show in 2013 to celebrate a newly elected POTUS.  ;) Perhaps our moderating "celebs" can find some time to get with the DRTV folks, but it's kinda "work" for them.

Hope they chime in and you can all get together.

Take lots of pictures!!!!

That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

We are planning on spending the day at the show on Saturday, and we're staying downtown overnight.  So Saturday would be the best for us for adult beverages.  It could be interesting (or really loud) Sunday morning at the show.   ;D

We will be there.

Wouldn't dare miss it. My wife went to Chatham College in Pittsburgh. So, she won't make the show, but she will be doing Pittsburgh. Her dad was a college professor at Pitt and several other local colleges in the area. She will have plenty to do while I attend the show and seminars.

I might have to link up with one of you who have been to an NRA show who can show me how to maximize such an event.

I'm going to try.  Since I took my current job the timing is awful...it is 3 weeks prior to a global strategy presentation that we work about 4 months on.

That said, I'm going to do my best.  I always work the Air Gun Range as an instructor, so stop by and see me!

Two things:
We might be able to go, but it will have to be a last minute decision. Doen anyone know a website to get all of the info? Tickets, etc? NRA site has pretty pictires, but...

Second, maybe we could arrange a DRTV cap or something so we could recognize each other in the crowd.

With any luck I'll be able to convince President Bogan to send the VP to that venue to meet with those who won the election for us.  ;D
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

www.nraam.org for info on the convention.  Rooms seem to be going fast.  It is being held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.  Might want to Google that for info also.

FWIW

Richard

PS:  Live just over 2 hours away so we might be there for a day or so.  Like to hear from at least one of the 3 M's about their plans.
