Airport officials ordered a holidaymaker carrying a toy soldier onto a plane to remove its three-inch gun - because it was a safety threat.

Ken Lloyd was stunned when he was told he could not go on the plane with the nine-inch model soldier because it was carrying a 'firearm'.

The Canadian tourist and his wife had bought the toy, which holds a replica SA80 rifle, during a visit to the Royal Signals Museum at Blandford Camp in Dorset.

But when he tried to take the £135 keepsake through Gatwick Airport in his hand luggage it triggered a security alert at the scanners.

It's one of those evil plastic guns that don't show up on x-rays or metal detectors.  ::)
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. I think its more "The end of the beginning". Churchill would have slapped those fools. Does anyone in the Commonwealth have a pair anymore? What the hell is wrong with those people?

This is not the beginning of the end, that time has came and past, its now reaping the fruits of its complacency.
Alas it will cost many many lifes to restore balance to the world. Anyone that cant see that coming has their undershorts pulled up over their head.

I'm looking forward to a dictatorship.
Most of these people are to shallow and stupid to govern themselves.
They brought their problems on themselves by value comfort over their principles, so they deserve the results.

And if BO is your dictator? Be careful what you wish for. Me, I'll stick with a republic.

You wouldn't know a Republic if it kicked you in the ass.
People like you are the problem. You believe everything you are told with giving it the slightest thought.
It's why you keep repeating that "Democratic Republic" stupidity.
Then there was your support for the" Dream Act", nothing but another amnesty, but FQ the stupid puppy bought right into the "same "It's for the children"  BS that you are to educated to have figured out 20 years ago.
Let me ask, can you even pass the citizenship test ?
Most of the last Congress could not.

He is trying, in fact,I would welcome it. Then everything would be out in the open and real Americans could kill the ones that need killing.
Why put it off on our children ?  (Not that that is an issue, it will start when we follow Greece , and the other EU Countries )
I am sick to death of the corruption, lies, misrepresentations, smug elitism and the stupid asses that believe it, that I truly look forward to a social collapse, pandemic, terrorist attack, or popular uprising that will exterminate about 75% of the population.
People have said it before me,
"one death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic."
"You can kill as many opponents as you wish as long as you do it quickly"
