Muzle energy is 99 ft/lbs from a 2" barrel.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. About time the ammo companies have made .22WMR ammo optimized for pistols....the .22WMR pistols have only been around for half a century or so....  ::)

I'll be watching developments closely....  8)

Hornady has also released .22 magnum in their Critical Defense line.  The ad I saw says the bullet is 45 gr, with controlled expansion technology.  I'm a new owner of an NAA Mini Revolver, NOT my SD sidearm, but as a friend calls it, my "taking out the trash" gun.

Now I just have to find some.
