I know I have been looking for a good AK myself.

I looked at Classic Arms. They seem to offering the following above the Wasser grade. Romanian Military AKs OR Century G 1975 for $420. Both are supposedly better than the average Waser. The G 1975 has a US built reciever and barrel, the Romanian military is tweaked  to take hi-cap mags. They offer Romanian underfolders at $430- or AKMS underfolders (same idea as the G 1975, US made reciever and barrel) at $480. The Polish are $575. Personally, I would lean towards the Centuries with the US made parts and save some dollars. I'd probably go with the underfolder for the simple reason that if anything gets banned these will top the list. Beyond that, its an AK. The Wassers seem to have some issues with mag rattle and canted gas blocks and I'd rather spend an extra hundred and avoid the issue. I didn't check J@G sales, but they also have a great rep. Good luck.
