NH CCW Renewal

My NH "Pistol and Revolver license" needed to be renewed this year, State law mandates that it will be done with in 14 days.
I filled out the one page application Fri around 2 PM, Today at 11:55 AM I got a call from the local PD, Paid the $10 and picked it up, Home by 12:10 PM, legal for another 4 years .    
Less than one business day.

In PA we don't need a license to own a pistol or revolver (or rifle or shotgun or ammunition).  Zero business days!

This was a concealed carry renewal, not a gun owners license, you don't need that In NH either.

You've got me beat on price and length of time between renewals, but, other than that, I don't know.

In AL, we have to renew our "Pistol Permits" which are for concealed carry not owning the firearm every year, one year from the date you got it.  My home county is $15.00 (it varies by county).  We have to go to the Sherriff's department, pay them, and walk out with our new permit, maybe 2 mins total if there is no line.  The last few years, I've been out of state and got my parents to renew it for me.  A few years ago, I lost my billfold and everything in it.  The pistol permit was the easiest thing to get replaced.  They mailed it to a PO box in KY for free.

The day after I turned 21, I drove to the Sherriff of my home county, filled out the paperwork, and walked out with a permit.  They usually make you wait a day or two the first time, but she gave it to me that day because I was going to school out of town and coming back to get it was a bit tricky.

M25 is correct, this is just for CONCEALED carry. If I were cheap I could open carry with out spending the $10.
Part that annoys me is that if I had one more year on the old one I probably would not have had to spend the money since there are 2 separate "Constitutional carry" bills currently before the Republican dominated Legislature which has plenty of votes to overturn any Veto.

I got my NH Non-Resident renewal in before April 2010 and avoided the out of state CC license increase.  It cost me 20 bucks this time.  Now it's up to 100 bucks.  Still worth the hassle though...a 44 cent stamp and a two page application.

Vermont and Alaska still have you beat though...

Not necessarily. Constitutional carry is non reciprocal. in other words, it's only good in that state . Vt doesn't have any kind of permit system so they can't carry any where but there. Alaska does have a permit available for residents who want to be able to carry in other states but I'm pretty sure it costs more than ours does.
