“As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people.  On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and a complete narcissistic moron.”  H.L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun,  July 26, 1920.

Something similar happened in my hometown (about 10,000 people) a little more than 30 years ago.  In that case, the shooter's wife worked at City Hall (where the PD was located) and in his psychosis, the shooter came to believe that she was doinking one of the City's cops.  In that case, he was unsuccessful in hitting any of the officers in the building, but was swiss-cheesed by one of them before everything was said and done.  The incident made an indelible impression on a small town, and on it's police department.
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!
