Those three and Mass will be the last to go. They have been to far in the bag for to long. Also, it takes a Rep. majority, and in those 4 states that will not happen.
To many drones getting patronage jobs or other forms of welfare

True, but the money is gone. When there is nothing left to pay, and the people are pissed who have to see their tax money go to these buffoons, strange things can happen. This gravy train is over. The largest democratic majority cannot create wealth where it does not exist any longer. Simply put, these states are broke and the American taxpayer is tapped out. Bus drivers making $85,000.00 a year and retiring at 45 while the roads, bridges, and schools are falling apart doesn't wash very well.  Bill T.

Wrong Bill, there's plenty of money, it just isn't worth a sh!t. But there is PLENTY of money.

Bill,

A few years ago, MA voters were given a ballot question to ELIMINATE the state 5.5% income tax and they voted NO!

These idiots think things are hunky f....k.i.n.g dory here!

Tom is correct, it's sheer lunacy.

A Boston firefighter makes 100K a year, Boston PD and surrounding communities are in the stratosphere.  Toll takers on the Mass Pike AVERAGE 30 bucks an hour!  A lieutenant on the Turnpike authority cleared 250K with salary and overtime.

It won't change, not in our lifetime...

It will when there is no money left to pay them. They'll be the highest paid unemployed people in the state.  Bill T.

Boston and surrounding communities have some of the highest earning jobs in America, it's all high tech, bio-med, pharmacological, electronics, etc....one thing about the area, they're ahead of the curve on technology.  Maybe not Silicon valley but pretty close.

Besides, even the wealthy are too stupid here to vote out the dickheads!

Boston and surrounding communities have some of the highest earning jobs in America

And they're already paying some of the highest taxes in the nation. As an example, the house I sold in Illinois back in 1991 now has a property tax rate of over $10,000.00 per year. It was around 2,700 Sq. ft. The house I'm living in now here in the suburbs of Phoenix is a bit over 1,600 sq. ft. and has a yearly tax rate of $1,000.00 per year, or about 90% less for a house a bit over one third less in size. Everything else is equal. This is the kind of thing that cannot continue. They have simply reached the limit with taxation in these liberal, heavily taxed states. They can protest much like I can in front of a Ferrari dealership. It will fall on deaf ears if I don't have the money to buy one. People just don't care anymore about what these people "want".   Bill T.

Many are doing what Rush Limbaugh did in New York. They're simply leaving and taking their wealth with them. When enough of them go they'll be faced with the same thing Wisconsin is now. It's just a matter of time. This is less about politics and more about Accounting 101.   Bill T.

The taxpaying residents simply are unable to sustain union promises of 100% paid benefits and pensions. The politicians that totally enabled this to happen are now feeling the heat.

The Dems, and Union thugs, are having a tantrum right now, cause the ball has been taken away....

The doublespeak from BHO, and countless others that state "We All Need To Tighten Our Belts, And Sacrifice",........well,.....

hello........the SHTF now. Get over it,......

They employed an evil millionares tax in MD last year, projecting those "evil" rich would pay their "fair share",. Guess what happened?

The "evil" rich moved out,....and tax revenue was down.....The failed policies of a failed ideology. Is Detroit not a good enough example?
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

All good points Bill, though the property taxes in MA are controlled by what they call Proposition 2.5 where property taxes cannot be raised more than 2.5% without a vote by the population in a special referendum.  A 300K home is probably taxed at an average of 14 or 15 mil rate in the cities and 8 to 14 in outlying communities.  Do the math!

Anyways, what MA is doing is controlling literally everything.  The State controls what utilities, insurance, telephone, gas, cell phones, et al can charge.  It is purely a socialist community, without even trying to hide it.  It is in the preamble of their constitution.

They don't care what the people want, they will continue along the lines of socialism until hell freezes over.  Even the RNC is a joke here, look at Romney, Scott Brown, any number of "so-called" conservatives.

The birthplace of the original tea party is not even a shell of what once existed.

Bill, It's been known as "Taxachusetts" since the 60's, they will not change .
Do you know the best thing about Whitey Bulger ?
He is the only member of his family not employed by either the Commonwealth of Mass or the City of Boston.
They call it "White mans welfare".

Tim, the reason the Revolution had its roots in Boston was not because Massholes were the most patriotic.
It was because the Colonies Government inflicted the most egregious insults to the Citizens.
The first gun registration in America, (which lead directly to uncompensated confiscation ) occurred in Boston.
The revolution had no real effect there. The British imposed a property requirement as a condition of voting, you had to own more than 100 pounds worth of property in order to vote.
After they threw off British tyranny the State Legislature increased the amount to 200 pounds, thereby taking the vote away from 90% of the men who fought for it . That was why the first armed revolt against the American Govt. took place in Mass as well.

Another thing Bill, you are ignoring the lessons of recent history.
When Communism failed in the USSR the Ruble became worthless, the Army did not get paid. But the politicians did. Pensions would no longer buy anything, but they were still paid at the same rate in money that had no value.
