Middlesex District Attorney Gerard Leone’s office said Brian Bergeron, 55, was found dead inside his Clarendon Street apartment building about 10:30 a.m. Michael Losee, 41, who is Bergeron’s husband, is charged with murder.
“This appears to be a tragic incident of domestic violence, committed by the spouse of the victim,” Leone said.
After Losee killed Bergeron, he telephoned a friend in Florida and confessed to the murder, the DA said. The friend then notified authorities, Leone said. The couple had been together at least 20 years, said David Jackson, who lived next door to Bergeron and Losee when
the couple lived in Florida.“They were very compatible,” he said. “I don’t understand what would touch off such a thing.”
Bergeron was a talented artist who designed outfits for Mattel’s Barbie doll line for 10 years before he got into interior design, Jackson said. When the Florida housing market collapsed a few years ago, the couple moved to Massachusetts — bringing along their three Siamese cats, Suki, Soki and Sushi, and launching a home renovation business.
“Bergeron was a brilliant man,” Jackson said. “They would repair and remodel homes. Losee was the carpenter end of it and Bergeron was the architect.”
Jackson last spoke to his friends about two weeks ago.
“They were excellent neighbors,” he said. “They’d help anyone who needed help.”
Never mind, they USED TO live in Fl.
