Good news!...hopefully
« on: March 11, 2011, 04:14:00 PM »
Well, yesterday my GSSF (http://www.gssfonline.com/) membership came in the mail.  You're probably saying "But BAC, you don't even own a Glock!"  Right you are, but I found out that if you belong to GSSF you get to buy a Glock from a participating dealer once a year for a ridiculously low price.

I also got a call today from the dealer where I bought my cursed SA 1911.  It's back from Springfield.  Hopefully it works properly this time (maybe they sent me a hat  ;))  I'll try to get down there to retrieve it this weekend.

Third...I sent my C&R FFL application in this week.  What to buy first?...

On the down side, my wife had to have a tooth pulled today, and it won't stop f-ing snowing!

Thanks, she's doing much better.  I'm thinking about a Nagant revolver.  Possibly with a .32 acp cylinder in the future.  The other 2 are definite possibilities.

Some one, I think it's Prvi Partizan, is making fairly inexpensive Nagant ammo.
Then you can shoot it like it was meant to be shot.  ;D
I understand it was (like all pre Tokarev Russian pistols ) under powered and an SOB to reload.
But very accurate.

The ammunition and the gas seal intrigue me.  Plus, I can get one for under $100.   ;D  From what I've been reading they are very accurate.  Fiocchi is also making 7.62 Nagant ammunition.

It may have been the Fiocchi I saw advertised, I have forgotten the manufacturer.
The gas seal system with the extended case mouth makes it the only revolver that can actually be suppressed.
The mechanics of it give it a cool factor far beyond it's actual effectiveness, though as I posted before they have a reputation for excellent accuracy.

You were correct, Prvi Partizan also makes ammo for it.  As far as the cartridge not being effective, I've got a couple .357 revolvers for that.  I'm looking for fun and unusual.   ;D

I will have to look into that, thanks for the info! Even after buying two Glocks I never really looked into GSSF. Ridiculous low price sounds right up my funding.

Take care of the wife and shoot the hell outta the 45!  ;D
You can say lots of bad things about pedophiles; but at least they drive slowly past schools.

Nagant will fill the bill on both those counts.
