At $250 you stole it.  The Ruger "SIX" series are about the best there is in my opinion.  My first handgun ever was a used Security Six .357 4 inch in stainless I bought used about 35 years ago.  I still have it and a speed six now also.  If I'm not mistaken I THINK the only differance between the .38 and the .357 is the chamber bore.  Ruger targeted the law enforcement with the six series and many agencies wanted .38s as opposed to .357 magnums.

You won't regret buying it, you will regret selling it (unless its to me for $275 ;)). Seriously a great gun. I've shot them and I love them. You got a great price, it will always go bang and your grandkids will thank you for buying it.
