I've been carrying an HK 45c for the past 4 months and would highly recommend this pistol. It is of superb quality and certainly the most reliable .45 ever tested. Needless to say I have yet to have a FTF but that's not a surprise as the recent pistol-training.com test had a grand total of 1 stoppage in 50,000 rounds, and that was due to a broken spring and the gun still fired the round. For me reliability is everything and either the HK or Glock 30 SF would be the way to go in that regard, but the HK is my preference in V1 mode as it can be carried in DAO with safety off, DAO with safety on, and cocked and locked....your choice. Great SA trigger as well and remarkably accurate with very light felt recoil. I prefer the feel of the HK 45c over the full size HK 45 as the grip is far more comfortable and the trigger doesn't suffer from the "trough" issue that is well documented and causes some finger rub for certain sized hands.
Here is a link to the 50,000 round test performed on an HK 45.

OK now we know what .45 ACP you carry, so now, let's see how you carry and in what holster?

I carried a P220 for a while, it packed better than a 1911 IMO and I never had the slightest issue with it, it is my second favorite semiauto.

Mostly a Don Hume JIT Slide. It's light, inexpensive and quite comfy...looking at Crossbreed too!

Finally got pictures of my carry .45 attached!!!!! They aren't too good but the close-up shows an aftermarket beavertail GS which has had the memory bump added on to. I use the high thumb grip and was having trouble depressing the GS...NOT NOW! It is also NOT uncomfortable to shoot even with +P loads. The picture also shows the modified TS which extends forward slightly but also backwords and is slightly wider. My thumbs are short and I have trouble getting leverage enough to take TS like the Swenson off.
