Actually, its not that bad. A buck a round isn't too awful for the big stuff and the .45 colt is less. It is worth reloading at that point if you're a plinker. For me, as a hunter I fire two boxes on the range, and buy one for the field per year, so it's not an issue. I'll practice marksmanship with a cheaper gun. The deergun is just that. If you reload and like doing it, I see little downside, at least with the .454s. The .460 brass may be pricy. Still, a nice piece.
