Wow.....I didn't realize that politicians were exposed to risks that us "average joes" aren't......  ::)

Especially in churches and schools.  Wow, just imagine if they had to go to places like Wal-Mart or an Apple store.

Fact check:  You can carry in a place of worship unless you are informed either orally or via signage described in Texas Penal Code Section 30.06.

As originally written, Texas Penal Code Section 46.035, subsection (b)(6) prohibits carry "on the premises of a church, synagogue, or other established place of religious worship."  However, subsection (i) was added later that adds this a defense to prosecution: "Subsections (b)(4), (b)(5), (b)(6), and (c) do not apply if the actor was not given effective notice under Section 30.06."

I would imagine most pols ARE in danger in bars, schools and churches. In school's they'll meet smart people, in churches they'll meet honest ones and in bars they'll meet folks who just lost their job because of some law they passed. ;D I'd want to carry too.

Come on FQ. 

Smart people aren't necessarily found in schools.  Knowledgeable folks are found in schools, they can still be stupid!

A person who is either smart OR knowledgeable is still a danger to the average politician. ;)
