Planted German Heirloom, Better Boy, and Beefsteaks, in early Jan. March ended with a bang, and with some TLC, ended up with a particular "monster".

Took my wife and I two days to finish it off, salads, homemade BLT's, antipasto with garden basil, EV olive oil, red onion, and Parm. Cheese.
Did some fried green maters, ol' skool.....Buttermilk and Corn Meal, with some cayenne and black pepper in vegetable oil, on the 10" Griswold cast iron skillet.

But alas, my mater season is ending, it actually gets too hot.

but you Northern members should get a plantin'.....with the cost of food this year, we should all be growing something. Even if it's in a clay pot.
