Holy Smokes Batman! My shoulder gets sore enough after 25 rds. with the full size model. Nice to see he was hip shooting,....how accurate is that beyond 5-10yds.?

One othe point of critique on the Moisin. You have to fire it left handed to work the bolt. But you have to carry it in a right handed holster to carry it with the protuding handle. Kind of a problem if this is your zombie slaying go to gun. The Serbu solves this problem, and is a lot more practical (which speaks volumes ).

This is an old topic I know but it came up in a google search that I did.   I am new to this forum and this my first post here.

I read recently in the Backwoodsman mag about how to make one of these.  I liked the idea because these rifles are very cheap, not much over $100 and you can keep it legal by maintaining 16" in length.  (or is it 18" ?)
I was thing of griping it right handed and maybe rotating the wrist to work the bolt with my left hand.  I guess much of the powder gets sent out the barrel end at this short length, (and probably pretty cool to see it fired at night.)
Anyway, I just thought it might be a unique and cool inexpensive camp gun if nothing else.

Just over 16 for rifles, shotguns it's 18 + most you will find are over by about 1/4 inch to be safe.
way to measure it is close the action and drop a dowel down the barrel, mark it at the muzzle and measure.
