The civilized mind struggles to make sense of such savagery

"The civilized mind struggles to make sense of such savagery."

"March 11, 2011 in Itamar, an Israeli settlement in the Samarian hills, terrorists infiltrated the home of Udi and Ruth Fogel and perpetrated a massacre of the innocents.

The killers started with Yoav, the Fogels’ 11-year-old, and Elad, his 4-year-old brother. Yoav’s throat was slit, and Elad was stabbed twice in the heart. Then the attackers murdered Ruth, knifing her as she came out of the bathroom. In the next room they killed Ruth’s sleeping husband, Udi, and their infant daughter, Hadas. Apparently they didn’t notice the last bedroom, where the two other boys, Ro’i, 8, and Yishai, 2, were asleep. It wasn’t until half past midnight, when 12-year-old Tamar came home from a Friday night youth group, that the horrific slaughter was discovered. Much of the house was drenched in blood, and the 2-year-old was shaking his parents’ bodies, crying for them to wake up.

What explains such unspeakable evil? What sort of human being deliberately butchers a sleeping baby, or plunges a knife into a toddler’s heart?

As news of the massacre in Itamar spread, candy and pastries were handed out in Gaza in celebration. The Al-Qassam Brigades, a branch of Hamas, argued that the murder of Israeli settlers was permitted by international law. A day later it changed its tune, insisted that “harming children is not part of Hamas’s policy,” and suggested instead that the massacre might have been committed by Jews."

There is a special place in hell for anybody that would harm a child.

It' really pretty simple, Muslims are primitive animals and should be eradicated just like any other pest.
The fact that they have language, and use tools means nothing, monkeys do those things as well and are nearly as human looking.
And if you want to arue, "but they are cute when they are young", I will point out that the same can be said for bears or wolves but you would not want your neighbor hood over run by them.

There is no rational explanation.  The logical, moral, civilized mind cannot comprehend such evil.   But, there is an explanation for it that starts back at the very beginning.

The arcangel Lucifer lusted after the power of God the Creator.  In punishment God cast him into the fires of hell, but evil had already been loosed upon the world.

There are still the same two choices:  right and wrong; or saying it another way, good and evil.

My personal conviction is that mooslims and the sundry followers of their miserable, hateful philosphy are most certainly not in the "good" camp.

In the end times, the Scriptures tell us the final fight will be the godly against the ungodly.  As for me and mine, we stand for and with the godly.
“I’ve lived the literal meaning of the ‘land of the free’ and ‘home of the brave.’ It’s not corny for me. I feel it in my heart. I feel it in my chest. Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle

Problem with that CRUSADER, is that that sounds kind of ironic coming from someone with your handle. If you recall us Christians haven't always been, well, fluffy bunnies. ;) To me, its not so much about religion as it is about human nature. At certain points in history, certain religions seem to metastasize and greenlight the worst of human nature. Now, it seems that Islam is taking that role. Twenty years from now it could be the Baptists, the Budhists  or the Hare Krishnas. We are fallen men in a fallen world, give us an excuse to unleash our worst instincts under the name of God or country, and history says too many of us will. :-\

Nice timing.

I'm watching a show on Tolkien's monsters, and how his experience at the Somme (where both sides suffered 1.5 million casualties each) in WWI strongly influenced his portrayal of Sauron and the orcs. Then I read CR's post about the absolutes of good and evil. Reminded me of my glee at using my older son's enjoyment of TLOTR movies (and books) and pointing out the obvious conflict with his view that good and evil do not exist, when it is Tolkien's point that they do and we had best persevere against evil whenever it shows up.

I'm with CR.

And FQ proves once again that he can take any discussion and reduce it ad nauseum to a pointless screed against anything and applicable to everyone, regardless of what they actually stand for.

Yes, the Crusaders were tough, brutal men. They lived in tough brutal times. And, given the history of the mooslims from Mohammed through the battle at the gates of Vienna to today's countless inhuman acts, I'm kinda of the opinion the Crusaders had the right idea. And in this matter, so does the Bogan.

Pathfinder beat me to both of the points I was going to make.
You can not judge the Crusaders by modern standards since they lived in a very different time.
Secondly, , while "religions" go through periods of ups and downs, Islam is not strictly a "religion" as it orders strict adherence to secular political regulation as well as moral regulation, and has yet to show signs of an "up" period.
The Arab world was the center of advanced learning at the time of Mohamed s revelations and has been in steady dcline ever since.

What they are teaching in their Madrasah's is what this boils down too.

In some ways our own public schools are teaching a blind faith to our children, indoctrination centers so to speak.  Follow the leader, don't rock the liberal boat too much or ye shall be punished...

I'm with Tom....

Call Roto-Rooter, Terminex, the local pest control, whatever!  Lets lower the population of the planet by about 1.5 billion people and be done with it...the remaining 100 million will convert!

I was thinking more along the lines of call some old Nazi's while there are still some left.
A good living history project, preserve the formula for Zyklon B.
They had a really good idea and wasted it on Jews who did not deserve such treatment.
