Has anyone ever noticed the lack of "gray" in Ted's world?
I love a black and white world! I have been told many times that we need all shades of gray to live, but the more I dig into it there is black and white and you only get gray when you muddy the waters.
At the core of every issue is black and white, and there is far less trouble for all sides if we stay as close to that as possible. Has anyone noticed how we have moved from a time when the question was "did he break the law or not" to "how was he raised, have we allowed him to stray away from the law, and who's fault is it that he broke the law?"
I agree that it is society's fault that these people commit crime. However, I feel that we are at fault for not holding them responsible for their actions in the first place! I think every court room should have cameras installed to catch the look of fear in a criminals eyes when his next sentence holds him responsible, and he realizes that he just F'ed himself. Put that photo on billboards as a warning to others!
