Totally a thing of beauty Bic. Congratulations. The absolute expansive options available to an AR platform, are what makes building one a great personalized asset. "There are many like it, but this one is mine", comes to mind.

Magpul, VLTOR, have inexpensive stocks, but the big thing is, the muzzle brake. As you, and bafsu posted, there are options, I put a Miculek Comp. from Cheaper than dirt . com on for $30. and an Enidine Hydraulic buffer for $90.

I now have an AR that shoots like a Ruger 10/22......  Really no B.S..... There is no muzzle rise, no "flip" and rapid fire, is as flat as a pancake.

That's a heck of an optic, check the offset rails from bravocompanyusa.com, as a possible back up for fiber, or truglo style BUIS.

great option, if the optics get knocked out of zero...

Many thanks tw, there sits in the SAW grip a suitably registered rear BUIS along with back-up 'scope batteries in case of emergency, but your advice is well taken,

I've run the Levang before, it does ok regarding recoil but noise and flash are pretty high. I was shooting at an indoor range one day with one on a 12.5" barrel and the poor old guy in the lane next to me nearly soiled his undies when I let loose with it. There was actually a target hanging 2 lanes over at the 10ft stripe that caught on fire from the muzzle blast. That was the last time I shot that particular setup inside.
