I agree with Ted more often than I disagree. Its his tone and style that sometimes rub me wrong, but honestly? I'd love to go hunting with him and I do trust the guy. Vote for him? No. But I'd sure buy him a beer. ;D
FQ13

He doesn't drink...though I did see him drink a beer on a show last year..non-alcoholic maybe

One thing to remember in this political process that's kicking off:

The lesser of two evils is still evil.

Labels like Democrat and Republican have less value than conservative or progressive/liberal.  Conservative claims must all be inspected and verified because....THE POLITICIANS, THEY LIE ABOUT WHO THEY ARE

As a model to study, please review Trent Lott & Lindsey Graham.

We don't know who someone is until we check his background...i.e., actions tend to verify a guys character and core beliefs...but who woulda' thunk it?
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
-William Pitt, British Prime-Minister (1759-1806)

White House releases Obama birth certificate

The White House on Wednesday morning released the president's long form birth certificate (pdf) in an attempt to put "birther" questions to rest.

"The President believed the distraction over his birth certificate wasn't good for the country. It may have been good politics and good T.V., but it was bad for the American people and distracting from the many challenges we face as a country," White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer said in a statement.

The president had released his certificate of live birth in 2008, but many "birthers" said the absence of a long form birth certificate prompted questions about Obama's birthplace of Hawaii. In recent weeks potential GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has brought birther questions into the forefront of the media.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

The GOP really needs to find a better qualified candidate. I agree that Trump would help Obama get re-elected.

Uncle Ted needs to run for Prez!!!  ;)

that would mean Obama would get a second term...

The only people that would vote for ted, were already going to vote against obama anyways.

There are really 3 reasons why obama won last time.

1  McCain was a dead fish to start out with.

2  Palin scared away the moderate/ the slighly leaning to the left

3 Obama ran a great campign and got more young people to vote for the 1st time they any other election in history.

If the gop had sent out a decent guy, with a decent vp, they would be in office now.

Preeching to the choir is not how you win elections.  getting the moderates is where its at.

One more time I'll agree with TAB, then I slit my wrists..

Independents elect the Presidents, PERIOD!

Core Democrats ALWAYS vote for the Dems.....Core Republicans ALWAYS vote for the GOP and Independents are the swing voters.

Go back through all but 1984 when Reagan annihilated the the competition and this has been the history.  What happened in 2008 was the result of the "Ignorant Dumb Ass" vote!  Ask FQ, he'll write a dissertation on it for you!

One more time, I don't give a hairy rats butt WHO is running against the Dipshit In Chief, I'll vote for them!

I will disagree with TAB on Palin. She didn't cost him votes.
If McCain had picked some fellow POS RINO for VP Obama's margin would have been larger.
It was common knowledge at the time that Palin appearances consistantly drew larger crowds of supporters than McCain did, often by 100%.
If 20,000 came to see McC, Palin would draw 40,000

Wrong, wrong and wrong!

Obama got elected because the American citizen is just as stupid as we think we are!

Anybody want to bet on what Trumps report cards say? I'm betting not so good on the "works and plays well with others" line. ;D Seriously, what is Trump FOR? What is the platform? He's getting a lot of attention because of the celebrity. Great. Now use it to tell me what the first five things he'd do as President are. Until I hear that, color me unimpressed.
FQ13

I don't really care because Trump was for Obama before he was against Obama.  Perhaps he was channelling John Kerry.  Perhaps not.  Either way, it shows he either has poor judgement or is just using conservatives to get what he wants.  NEXT!

and it happens

we got Gizzard / Brown ( labour - Green )  government  here
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them
