Bush Rides Mountain Bike to Honor VeteransBeginning April 25, former president George W. Bush will host a three-day 100-kilometer mountain bike ride in Big Bend Ranch State Park, Texas.
The event, named "Warrior 100," will honor wounded veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan.
"I'll be riding across the deserts of Texas with wounded warriors to show the unbelievable character of our men and women in uniform. It's a 100-kilometer ride in the desert, and it's not a leisurely ride; it's a ride to herald people who were dealt a severe blow and said, 'I'm not going to let it tear me down'," said Bush in a statement released by his office.
Among those riding alongside the former president include Sergeant First Class Dillon Behr, USA (Ret.) of Arlington, Va.
