When I first heard of the "burial at sea", I figured they just threw his worthless carcass out of the helicopter. ::)

Glad he's dead. God Bless Our Military!!!!

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

Quote
President Barack Obama and other US national security officials watched live footage of the attack, filmed via a video camera fixed to the helmet of a Navy Seal and relayed to the White House by satellite.
They saw the moment Bin Laden was shot in the left eye.
Mr Obama said: "We got him."

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

Though he didn't deserve more than a pail of pigshit for a burial, his respectful disposal proves that we are not the heathen assbags that most Muslims are...

God Bless the United States of America and the Armed Forces of the United States!

These men of Honor will be rewarded quietly as is their tradition.

Musings on the OP . . . .

Grateful he was whacked and we did not lose anyone.

Can't get too rejoicing or celebratory though, in part because I do not want to celebrate the removal of this POS, deserved so it was, the feeling is more of grim satisfaction, just as 9/11 is remembered as being in a cloud of grim rage. Sort of like the killing of a pest who has ravaged your ranch or garden. Also, I know full well our own POS .gov will use this to remove more freedoms, rights and liberties from the American people, under the guide of keeping us safer.

I liked the checklist, but sadly - and again, deserv ed it may be - Bieber ain't even close to being that high up on the list!  ;D  The list is long, however, and not all of the names are those of funny talking furriners.

Just read a reminder story that the very team (Seal Team 6) that took OBL out was the same one that the asshole writer at the New Yorker called "Cheney's personal assassination team".

Looks like in the photo that Hitlery can't stomach this part of her job.

More as it develops.

Actually, that was kind of reassuring. If you don't flinch a little, at least internally, when you see another human being killed in real time and at least partially at your orders, I'd wonder about you. The stomach for the job requires that you give those orders and live with the consequences, not that you like the reality of it. Its sort of like an execution. No one leaves the death chamber exchanging high fives, no mater how evil the SOB was.

Clinton's look is because she's finally seeing how the business end of foreign policy actually looks like and how it works

Figures you'd think that.

Go back and re-read my post, slowly and it's OK if your lips move as you do, I want you to get it right this time. Look for the part where I say no rejoicing or celebratory, and especially the part of "the feeling is more of grim satisfaction".

This statement I agree with but......your guy plays golf while brave men die in three war zones.  GWB decided that was in poor taste and kept off the golf course after invading Iraq and Afghanistan.  Who's the better man?

this is rhetorical FQ, your reply isn't necessary...

No slam or self rghteousness intended Path. I agree with every word you wrote. All I meant to say was that I was glad our government treated it with grave solemnity, not gloating. I'm also gladwe showed a bit of class with the burial and didn't drag his body through the streets like his people do to ours (Mogadishu anyone >:(). I guess the contrast is with Saadams execution when the witnesses taunted him and made a mockery of the thing. Things like this should be grim, but we should also not feel guilty about being satisfied that its over and glad the guy is dead.

Burial at sea, I was hoping they'd wrap a couple weights around his ankles set him afloat in a raft and shoot it and him full of holes, him full of more holes, and as it sinks get eveyone to piss on him.
