Actually, under the ribs and into the heart. The dogs keep the front end busy, you grab the hind legs off the ground then stick at about a 45 degree angle. (yes I've done this before, but just once. It's like wading into a muddy 5 dog fight with a pissed off wild pig in the middle. A little more excitment than I like in my day.  ).

That one Deepwater got is (was) a MONSTER!  Had to winch it up into the truck and the winch was groaning.

They are undergoing the on ice with vinegar treatment right now and we will do the finish butchering on Tuesday (lot of work).

The weather was perfect, cool and light breeze as compared to when we usually go in Sept (HOT and muggy swarming with mosquitoes!)

BUT on the drive home we had to stop twice and clean the 'love bugs' off the windshield so I could see!

We were the only group there.  This was the fourth time at this outfitter for HazJr and I so we know the guide (owner) real well and have a nice relaxed no BS hunt.  Good people and good pigs for a reasonable cost.  50 for the hunt, 100 for the pig and 25 to skin, gut and quarter it.
