We were the only group there.  This was the fourth time at this outfitter for HazJr and I so we know the guide (owner) real well and have a nice relaxed no BS hunt.  Good people and good pigs for a reasonable cost.  50 for the hunt, 100 for the pig and 25 to skin, gut and quarter it.
Damn! That is a deal. Please post contact info. The old man was talking about a trip and I do have a Brit WWII bayonet........ ;D
FQ13 who will be using the AR or .270. ;)

HazJr figures shootin them to be too easy and boAring. ;)

That one Deepwater got is (was) a MONSTER!  Had to winch it up into the truck and the winch was groaning.

They are undergoing the on ice with vinegar treatment right now and we will do the finish butchering on Tuesday (lot of work).

The weather was perfect, cool and light breeze as compared to when we usually go in Sept (HOT and muggy swarming with mosquitoes!)

BUT on the drive home we had to stop twice and clean the 'love bugs' off the windshield so I could see!

tell him to come out west and spot and stalk... on the central coast they are some mean mofo.  i've got a scar on my leg from one that charged.  2 arrows and 3 30.06 before it stoped.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

ahh that explains only getting 3  ;)

over here it is just shoot as many as you can and if you want the meat then go for it.
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

In Missouri where my old Navy buddy lives, if you're in the woods and armed, it's a "shoot on sight" regulation for hogs.  They've got a real problem...

Very true, unfortunately. Pigs are a big problem as you all know, I'll just have to head south or trade ya some elk for some pork...  ;D
