TulAmmo Impressions?
« on: May 12, 2011, 03:27:29 PM »
My local hardware store started carrying the stuff and I bought a couple of boxes (.223 55gr. FMJ) to try sometime - any experiences out there?

Its good stuff for the range. Its like wolf, a bit on the dirty side but nothing regular cleaning cant handle. As far a accuracy its not match but it keeps you at the range staying sharp. I have had zero issues with my ar's and mini's.

I'll pretty much echo Mauserman's comments. My Arsenal 106 eats TulAmmo like a fat kid swallows gummy bears. Not match grade accuracy by any measure but at $5/box it makes it hard to justify the time to handload plinking/training ammo.

I was given a box of Tul .380 ACP. I can't use it as the LCP hits the primer, leaves a big mark, but gun not go bang!  :'(

YMMV

I have zero issues with the pistol ammo. I use the 9mm,.40SW, and 45acp for plinking. Its is a little dirty but, then again I clean my guns like my life depends on it.

The other way around. Wolf has never made a single cartridge. They are an importer/distributor of Russian ammo made by several factories, including Tula. TulAmmo has been an ammo manufacturer since the 19th century. They're now U.S. importer/distributor as well.

That is what i said. Tula sells it to Wolf who then wraps it in their own packaging as the Wolf brand.
