Remembering a friend
« on: May 13, 2011, 08:37:28 AM »
Went to a funeral yesterday for a good friend that died last weekend. What I wanted to share with you is the way we honored him. I only hope that I have as great a send off when my time comes.

Sorry for the loss of a friend.....great tribute to his memory.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Great tribute, JC5123. The reporter asked the usual typical dumb-ass questions and did it poorly to boot, but the tribute, the celebration of his life was wonderful.

We got a kick out of her. Poor girl was freezing. It was overcast and about 40 degrees. Light north wind so with the windchill probably felt about 35. She told us she was from San Diego. I have no idea why she didn't put on a coat. The news crew was there for about an hour. She spent most of the time in their truck with the heater blasting.   ::)

I'm sorry for your loss, but it was a GREAT way to celebrate and remember your friend.
