« on: May 24, 2011, 06:46:51 AM »
well it is that time of the year again   ;D

Sledge and I are off to a Range at Wodonga at the top north east of Victoria on the border of Vic and NSW.

both of us have a nice old trip to get there

this is an annual event that we go to ( and about the only time we get to catch up  in person )

I am leaving Thursday to drive over and will get there some time Friday Arvo  and Rob is on the boat Thursday night for the over night trip to get to Australia  and then driving from Melbourne to get up to Wodonga

we hope to have 60 to 70 + gun nuts there over the weekend this year,   I am not binging as many pistols however have the Pope gun and a 45/70 leaver ready to go with me.

we have it on Good authority Howie will be back as well :)

for those that missed the fun here is a bit from last year http://www.downrange.tv/forum/index.php?topic=12679.msg165934#msg165934

Saw your reports last year ...what a great time yas have.

If every a trip to Australia came my way, I'd hope to be able to schedule it so that I could attend the event.  I'd probably feel more at home among the folks there than most places in the world.

Have a great time!!

Did you two give 'em some sort of advanced warning (like notify the local disaster preparedness council)? ...... I mean did ya have to register for the event?     ;D

I remember the thread from last trip and am still jealous! Have a great time, try not to terrify the locals (townies) too much. ;)

They try to keep it quiet.  60 Minuets would be all over it if they found out where they were gonna be.

Nice to see forum members getting the chance to get together and send some rounds down range.

Safe travels to and from for you both, enjoy and take lots of pics to share with us!

Twas the night before Wodonga, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even the cat;

The brass were all loaded with safety and care,

In the hopes that Sledgemeister soon arrive there.

Well folks all the reloading is done, just have to find enough room to transport it all.
I think it goes a bit like:
360rnds of S&W 460
50rnds of .454
100 rnds of .45 long
300 rnds of 44mag
250 rnds of .357
400 rnds of .38
300 rnds of 9mm
200 rnds of .444
3000 rounds of .22

also taking 8 firearms:

Ruger Charger .22
Ruger mark 3 .22
H&R .444
Rossi .357 LA
Marlin .22 LA
Ruger .44mag
S&W460
Remmington 572 .22 pump.

I can just see the coppers face if they pull me over LOL

Any way folks I will be a way for a week or so and I am staying over there a little after the event so no doubt phil will be feeding you infor before I get back, just be assured when I do, I will actually tell you the truth of what happens, and if he gets another weatherby eyebrow!  ;D
