Faster than a speeding Quaker!
« on: May 30, 2011, 04:56:24 PM »
I sucked it up and bought the new machine. I can now annoy y'all from an I5 at a blazing 2.66 Ghz. Maybe I'll even be able to get the spell check to work this time. ;D

Congrats on the new machine, hope it works well for you.

Moved here two years ago from Michigan.  Sitting in a church of 300+ people a while back and the pastor asked who was actually born in this area.  THREE people raised their hands!  We're ALL transplants here.  Democrats and snow both S@#%!   ;D

Funny thing BM, back in the day (1977) I went flounder fishing with a Marine buddy on that pier, cought a 1/2 dozen each,  He and his wife were from Ky so I showed them how to filet them and she cooked them up. (they lived off base )

Is that a "Vargas girl" on your desktop ?

MAN, you've got a good memory!  And good taste in art to (speaking of Vargas).  ;)

And they have wifi out there.  So when the fishings slow...  NETBOOK TIME!  $80 for a season pass is a pretty good deal!

It's actually a lesser artists drawing of Bettie Page.  "Pin Up Girl of the World" - 1955.  And January playmate of the month that same year.   ;)

Haz, I'm thrilled to have a desktop image at all!  AND be able to change theme colors, network to my blueray players, and a dozen other things you can't do with Windows 7 "starter".  That's what comes on ALL netbooks.  >:(  Piratebay.org had a number you can use to upgrade to Windows 7 "Ultimate" for free!  And you actually download the software directly from Microsoft, so NO chance of a virus or malware or whatever.  NICE!!!   ;D ;D ;D  Thanks again!!!

Not that I would know or anything, but while similar, Vargas's girls had, if memory serves me, a more pronounced D'ecolletage.

(more cleavage)

BADGER:  The wife and I, after much deliberation about which beach, decided to spend a week at Holden Beach, just up the coast from you.  We've never been to a NC beach before and thought we'd try something different.   Any recommendations on eating, entertainment.....oh and you know shooting?

It's actually a little warmer than that right here in Michigan. There's a heat advisory all day from midnight to 8 pm tonight.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington.
