I've been following her site (and on FB) for a good while and she has pretty thick skin. She can dish it out and take it pretty well. I believe she would actually fit in well with us here. What it boils down to is that no decent woman (or anyone else for that matter) wants their name or image associated in a negative context, particularly in a way that might show up in a certain type of internet search.....even if the
actual content is harmless in nature.
I also agree that if you put a photo on a public page without some type of copy-blocking software, even if it is considered copyrighted material, beware of its usage.
YMMV, FWIW
***EDIT***I forgot to mention that there's also the financial angle as noted in Breda's post on her blog site:
I'm sure he thought himself clever to title his post "Breda Porn" and began salivating over all the traffic, and resulting blog revenue, certain Google searches might bring him. In short, he is using my copyrighted material for monetary gain, without my permission.
A lot of folks don't understand that most sites generate revenue from advertisers, via the number of "hits" or visits their site gets. Using someone else's picture, combined with a racy heading in order to generate more hits (especially after just winning the Up & Coming new blogger award) is a good reason to be miffed.
I think it is a combination of the two things.....again, JMHO, FWIW
