And to follow up on Tom's point Path, I've never been paid to "speak" for God or be holier than anybody. I just cash a check for knowing a bit about American politics and teaching kids civics classes. As far as the dog? If someone's view of their own purity with God requires them to take a life in a barbaric manner, they might want to take a step back and reconsider their theology. Honestly, I'll go half with Path here on sending these idiots a Gideon Bible as they clearly need one.
 Seriously, I'm not one to proselytize, particularly in the Abrahamic faiths, but killing a dog because its the reincarnation of someone you have an issue with? I will be first in line to ring the door bell and ask these idiots "Have you accepted Jesus as your personal lord and savior?" If only just for my own amusement value, but heck, maybe it would work. Granted, they might not take it well, but I could remind them that Israel is a wholly owned subsidiary of the US of A to the tune of $4 billion a year and as a taxpayer I have certain perks. Again, they might get pissy, but hey, I'm paying for the dog they're stoning and its about damn time they got reminded of that. It hasn't happened since Bush senior and James Baker.
Its not like I'm going to say "shine my shoes bitch", though I might think it out loud. Does that annoy the dog stoning wing of the draft dodging ultra orthodox?Because I really hope it does. ;D

How did they figure out the dog had the dead lawyer's soul?  ??? Did it file a brief with the court? Did they match it's paw prints? Maybe it just had that shifty lawyer look. Or maybe ALL lawyers come back as dogs. That would explain the little yappy ones anyway.

That completely ignores the bit about pigs and creatures with cloven hooves being impure.

You were a perfesser in a liberal arts college teaching PolySci. I am certain there was a huge element of "holier than thou" rampant in that classroom. Maybe not persistently, but it was there. We have seen it here, usually when presenting some faux libertarian nonsense.

BTTTAIP - I am sure we could probably dredge up something on these rabbinic wankers by which they would - according to their own interpretation of Torah - be eligible for stoning as well. I have found none, including among the ultra orthodox, who were without sin. That just ain't the human way.
