How do you carry?
« on: June 24, 2011, 10:16:23 AM »
On the podcast Michael asked for ideas and suggested how do you carry. This man carried in his car and he got lucky. Had he been accosted away from his vehicle he might not have done as well. I always pocket carry a jframe 38.

I always carry when awake ............... the only exceptions are when at church or in prohibited gubmint facilities.
Either a 1911 Commander or a G27 in a SERPA OWB (conceals underneath an un-tucked shirt) and a NAA Mini-22 in the front pocket (I am looking for a M85 Taurus for the other pocket).......

I assume the later implies the former.   :o

I'm with Tom, 1911 IWB when I leave the house.

Where did you get that holster for thee NAA? I'd like something that makes it less likely for the hammer to get snagged inadvertently like that.

Made it out of a scrap of old leather just a few days ago.

Same!

I have a gun vault in the car at all times for needed situations like the restrictive government, or if the 1911 is not appropriate for a given setting.  I can put both the 1911 government and my lcp in the safe.

My lcp is carried in a TNT Leather, and the 1911 IWB is a Bianci model 120.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

IWB from 5 Shot Leather for full sized 9mm as day-to-day carry.
Pocket carry in leather holster 5 shot snub.
IWB Galco for compacts.
Ankle holster for PPK when at event or church where I'll be sitting for a while and IWB gets to be in the way.

Pretty much determined by where you will be and what you will be wearing.  I have been known to carry a 1911 in a shoulder rig if I have a suit on.  I mostly never carry a belt holster outside the pant as concealed....exception being winter with a jacket around the house and down street.

Ewe, yuck dang clean up your piece dude......stinkey old man who-knows-what-it-really-is dust crap.....gosh use some Lysol how about it?   ;)
