Peter Falk dies at 83 =(
« on: June 24, 2011, 01:47:34 PM »
Just heard on the news that Pater Falk, Columbo, has died at 83.

Loved the show and the character.  Enjoyed every role I saw that Falk played.

The press release said he had suffered with Alzheimer's in his later years.  So, it wasn't Peter Falk who died.  He'd done that years ago.  It was only a shell that looked like Falk that finally succumbed.  I think his caregivers are probably feeling very mixed emotions right now--both sadness and a sense of relief.

Just one more thing...  I also heard that they are teaching the Columbo Technique of interrogation at many if not all police training facilities.

How many TV stars can take credit for something like that?

RIP, Mr. Falk.

Really?   I do like that.  Very good legacy.

Just one more thing... If anyone has read the book The Exorcist, the police officer doing the investigation reminded me strongly of the Columbo character.
