Barrett Rifles & Family on Nat Geo
« on: June 28, 2011, 11:00:08 AM »
I watched "Sniper, Inc." last night on the National Geographic channel which is about the Barrett Family and their rifles. Pretty good!

I thought the Barrett Armorer getting  a "Service Call" from a soldier engaged in a firefight was amazing regarding a quick field repair.

and everyone is hand assembled.

Oh and Ronnie had a nice red vette..... ::)

Good show.

I was rather surprised more of a left-leaning slant wasn't present in the voiceover.

And the Vette was very cool.

ME TOO, thought it was covered fairly, except for "ARMS DEALER" which was said several times. To me that has an undertone of evil!? Maybe that just me :o

I think it's cool they opened their own gun shop.  Wonder it they're hiring?

Didn't get to see the show.  :(

But did they tell the story of how the first rifle accidentally discharged in the back of his truck at a gas station on the way to unveil it?  Saw a video on that a LOOOONNNGGG time ago.  Kinda a funny story.  I think they said it made the local news papers the next day.

What are you going to call him, a fish monger? Of course, as far as the slant goes, it just depends on how you'd respond if you saw someone forced to wear the "arms dealer" logo like a scarlett letter. Some would cross the street to avoid them. Me, I'd ask for their business cards and enquire about their hours. ;D

I agree, I think the term has been used so negatively in the media that it comes across that way. Actually they're a gun manufacturer.
