The Consititution and Bill of Rights
« on: June 30, 2011, 05:55:15 PM »
I was down in Mystic last week and found a couple of hard cover copies of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights with some of the supporting documents from the Federalist Papers and the Madison papers.

Quite well bound little pocket references for about 10 bucks each.  Certainly more durable than the 2 buck ones I order from the Government Printing office and give away on occasion.

Worth a look for those interested...and more books of a historic nature as well.

Enjoy!

Have you cross referenced these books with the original writings?  When I finally got to college I had a good old Prof that warned of some of the later printings and changes that were in them.  He was diplomatic enough to not call it intentional, but he used it as a tool to teach us to verify everything.  I checked it out, and I found some differences between different printings of a Constitution and Declaration of Independence I had in books at home.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

No Mike, I haven't but I will.  I have the GPO pocket Constitution and Bill of Rights at work.  I'll check it out later.
