At last you make a point on this thread that I agree with Bill. The Ojay trial was so bad with weekends and half days off (for everyone but the jurors) that I'd have been tempted to stand up in open court and tell the judge I was going to strip naked and run around the room screaming "Guilty" if things weren't wrapped up by week's end, contempt of court be damned. You are right. Every jury takes things seriously at first. Then, they realize that one way or another they just want to go home, period. Of course, this can lead to a wrongful guilty verdict as well.
