At last you make a point on this thread that I agree with Bill. The Ojay trial was so bad with weekends and half days off (for everyone but the jurors) that I'd have been tempted to stand up in open court and tell the judge I was going to  strip naked and run around the room screaming "Guilty" if things weren't wrapped up by week's end, contempt of court be damned. You are right. Every jury takes things seriously at first. Then, they realize that one way or another they just want to go home, period. Of course, this can lead to a wrongful guilty verdict as well.

The judge in the Casey Anthony trial, Belvin Perry, took time to kick some serious ass with both the prosecution, as well as the defense, for wasting the courts time, and not moving things along.

I hate like hell to quote the Huffington Post for anything, so much as the smell of dog $h!t, but in this case it is a good article. Point being in all of this was the jury was just plain getting bored. And I'm sure the judge could see the disinterest in their eyes. (TV cameras can never show the jury.)   Bill T.

I'm absolutely lost on how anyone cares about this when it has NOOOO effect on ANYONES life...  ALL news stories like this are simply in the media because their "Days of Our Lives" soap opera's for men and women alike.  AND, that they distract the american public from real issues the politicians are sneaking past you while your busy gossiping.  

Feel free to bash my opinion relentlessly.   I certainly won't be following the thread.  Just finally felt driven to comment because it's lasted how many pages now?

Try telling that to Caylee Anthony. Or the other thousands of families of missing children. Tell them that they can't rely on the justice system to punish those that took, raped, and/or murdered their children. THAT is the issue. I could care less about this particular case, but it does have ramifications on the bigger picture. Mainly people faith in the criminal justice system.

You're wrong. It had no effect on your life. It had a direct effect on that little girls life. Go ahead and call me crazy, but it just plain bothers the $h!t out of me that a pretty little 2 year old girl is dead. Brutally murdered. And no one is going to pay the price for it. And quite possibly the very person who did it, just might legally profit from it. Yeah, that bothers me, and it does have an effect on my life. And I assure you it isn't a good one.   Bill T.
