One thing to keep in mind....  A debit credit card, like you might be using as  your ATM card, which would be tied to one of your bank accounts, usually checking, is NOT covered by the $200 fraudulent use limit on a normal credit card....  So someone using the card or the number can empty that account and you are out if it is not caught quickly.

Yep. That is why I only use a credit card for online purchases.

Mine is but I have a short window of time to report the problem but I still have a small limit CC that I use on-line.
